Back in March 2005, Joe Nienhuis and I kicked off a journey that’s still going strong. Over the years, I’ve had plenty of interactions with Joe, and even though we’ve never actually met, I’ve started to see him more like a buddy than just a sales guy at Monaco Rare Coins. It’s funny, considering I’m more than double Joe’s age, but I feel like we share a lot. Two Alpha males! Well, maybe just one now; age has turned me into a Beta. I probably won’t ever make it to California, but if I did, I’d definitely seek out Joe, shake his hand, and see if I could sweet-talk him into treating me to a burger and fries at Carl's Junior! I usually feel a bit uneasy about buying stuff online, since the images don’t always reflect what you actually get. This was my first time ordering from MRC, and I was really pleased with the Morgans I got, aside from the two I returned. I’m curious to see how this transaction wraps up. Awesome beginner set of Morgans! A solid variety of P, S, and O mint marks. Half of them are in NGC slabs and the other half in PCGS. You get a blend of bright and a few slightly toned coins. The free coin is a repeat, but still a nice piece. This set of 20 features a 1921P. Perfect spot for one-stop shopping to kick off a collection without getting taken advantage of.
